Pledge to be Sober at Sundown

We’re pumped to have people of all ages grooving down on Market Square every Thursday at Sundown in the City, but we want to make one thing clear: Sundown in the City has a zero-tolerance policy towards underage drinking. Whether you come in under the influence or try to get under the influence at the event, the consequences you could face aren’t worth the hassle. So, if you and your friends are under 21, come downtown to groove to the music! And stay sober at Sundown.

Your band could headline a Sundown in the City pre-party on July 3! First, submit a band entry form by May 15 at the ConcertWire tent at Sundown or at our office. Then, get your under-21 fans to sign the pledge sheet committing to be Sober at Sundown. The band that submits the most qualifying pledges by June 19 wins!

Official Rules

• To qualify, bands must consist predominately of members age 20 or under as of Thursday, July 3.
• Fans who sign the pledge must be age 20 or under at the time they sign.
• Qualifying bands must be available to perform at a location in downtown Knoxville on Thursday, July 3, between 5 and 7 p.m.
• Bands with offensive lyrics or website content will be disqualified.
• Band entry forms are due in our office by Thursday, May 15; completed pledge forms are due by June 19. No forms will be accepted after these deadlines.
• All forms should be submitted at the ConcertWire tent at Sundown in the City or mailed to: Sober at Sundown Stage X Competition, 507 South Gay Street, Suite 1100, Knoxville, TN 37902.
